The Ebac 'should be shelved', say MPs

The Education Select Committee has told the government it should 'think again' about its plans for an English Baccalaureate (EBac).

In a report published yesterday the group of MPs echoes our concerns that the EBac is not a true baccalaureate and that it was announced before the curriculum review had even started.

Next week David Kerr, a Citizenship Foundation trustee, will join other Democratic Life members in a meeting with the Curriculum Review committee.

So while we welcome the select committee's report, we shall continue to tell the government why we think the EBac, as it stands, is a mistake. Share
