Free National Curriculum lesson plans for legal awareness
The fifteenth edition of the Young Citizen’s Passport was published in March. For the first time, free lesson plans are available to support the use of this resource in the classroom.
The free lesson plans encourage students to consider a variety of viewpoints and help develop skills of enquiry and empathy, as well as an understanding of the law and the capacity to deal with the legal problems they might face in everyday life.
Teachers can use the plans with topical examples to help students see the connection between situations they are aware of and the application of law.
