Go-Givers Make a Difference Challenge 2011

The Go-Givers team held the first of several 'Make a Difference' training days at South Camden City Learning Centre on Wednesday 12 January.

This training is to prepare teachers to take part in the child-led active citizenship project 'Make a Difference Challenge', which has been running for  three years and has grown in uptake and scope. New additions to the challenge, such as electing press officers, proved very popular with the teachers and will help them further ensure that the children are leading the project. Go-Givers will be training more teachers in Kent, Hampshire and West Berkshire, throughout January and February.

The Challenge will conclude with celebration events in each area. In London, this will take place in the Chamber, City Hall on 29 March. The team is excited to see what this year’s participants will achieve and how they will make a difference to their communities.
