Paying for It launches new website

Paying for It has launched a new website to help bring the country’s economy to life in the classroom. Log on to find out more about Paying for It’s teacher training, access a range of free lesson plans and prepare students and young people to take part in the Chance to be Chancellor competition.

Paying for It’s updated lesson plans kick off with the ‘Government & Economy’ unit and are followed by five key topics; education, health, environment, public order & safety and employment, each reflecting the Government’s priorities for Budget 2011. Accompanying the lesson plans are extensive ‘Teachers’ Notes’ to guide a strong scheme of work in the run up to Chance to be Chancellor.

Launching on the website in January, Chance to be Chancellor will use an interactive online tool to enable students and young people to design their own Budget and consider the challenges facing our economy.
