Waves of Democracy 2010 seminar

This summer 100 young people from countries throughout Europe will meet at the Waves of Democracy 2010 seminar in Novi Sad, Serbia. The seminar will look at how intercultural communication between young people from different countries in Europe can help to create understanding and better opportunities for future generations. The young people will be educated as youth ambassadors and become part of an extensive network of young Europeans.

The seminar will include a number of pedagogical elements: lectures, presentations, plenary debates as well as the MEP (Model European Parliament) concept.

Fifty students, aged 17-25, will be selected from EU countries by IUC and 50 students will be selected by the European Fund for the Balkans in cooperation with the European Movement in Serbia. They should be able to speak and discuss in English (the conference language), have computer skills and be willing to work in an international context.

Waves of Democracy 2010 is a project run by IUC-Europe and Global Citizen in cooperation with European Fund for the Balkans, Balkan Trust for Democracy, European Movement Serbia, Belgrade Fund for Political Excellence, Balkan Community Initiatives Fund, The Danish Embassy Serbia and EUNET partners.
