Free key stage 3 resources for citizenship and enterprise
The Citizenship Foundation is thrilled to announce the launch of a set of new citizenship teaching resources that focus on the links between leadership and citizenship. The key themes of the lesson plans enable teachers to support their students to become active leaders of change.
The interactive resources have been developed as part of the youth leadership programme, The Youth of Today, and there are over six lessons focused on key themes and processes within the citizenship curriculum at key stage 3, including advocacy, decision making and networking with key allies.
One student who helped to test the resources said: 'I loved how interactive the lesson was. It's made me realise how much I can actually make a difference'.
The Youth of Today is a DCSF funded project which offers free leadership opportunities to 13-19 year olds across England. These opportunities include shadowing a local councillor or government minister and applying for youth leadership grants.
