Advisory Group members wanted for InterACT

The Citizenship Foundation is currently looking for individuals interested in joining InterACT’s Advisory Group. This is an exciting opportunity to support and shape the development of the project in its pilot year.

InterACT supports groups of 16-25 year old refugees and asylum seekers to come together with locally resident young people, to identify joint issues of concern to them and their communities and to develop campaigns to tackle them.

The Advisory Group will be responsible for:

1. Checking that emerging project ideas remain within the framework set out by the project funders.
2. Providing expertise to the project team in specific areas of online social action, marketing, PR and media.
3. Providing perspectives from the communities in which the project will be happening.
4. Advising and supporting the project team to create a public face and profile for the project.

In 2010 the project will take place in Cardiff, Bristol, Birmingham and London. We are particularly keen that the Advisory Group consists of members from all these areas.

The initial meeting will take place in mid-February and meetings will then occur approximately every three months. Most will be online via established meeting tools and email discussion. The InterACT Advisory Group will meet occasionally in person at the Citizenship Foundation's office.

To find out more about joining the Advisory Group contact Xenia on 020 7566 4153 or email Xenia.Davis@citizenshipfoundation.org.uk.
