Citizenship Foundation welcomes new Trustees

The Citizenship Foundation is pleased to announce the appointment of two new Trustees, Peter Pattison and The Hon. Mrs Justice Heather Hallett DBE.

Heather Hallett DBE joins the Board after many years of voluntary support for the Citizenship Foundation’s Bar National Mock Trial Competition. She was elected the first woman Chairman of the Bar in 1998 and a year later was appointed High Court Judge. She has been Presiding Judge of the Western Circuit since 2001.

Peter Pattisson is Citizenship Co-ordinator at Deptford Green School, an inner city comprehensive in south London with a national reputation for innovative and effective Citizenship education. Particularly interested in children's rights and school democracy, Peter previously worked on Save the Children's education programme and spent four years in India working with children.

These new appointments replace outgoing Trustees Daphne Gould OBE and The Honourable Mr Justice Hooper, who had been with the Citizenship Foundation since its inception.
