Bar National Mock Trial Competition Dramatic Final

In March 2009 the 2008/09 cycle of the Bar National Mock Trial Competition came to a close at the Old Bailey. The Grand Final was presided over by His Honour Judge Moss QC, who crowned Ponteland High School from Newcastle the National Champions, after a very close competition.

In the Grand Final, Ponteland High School competed with Sir Henry Floyd Grammar (these were the two highest scorers of the overall competition) in the infamous Court 1 courtroom at the Old Bailey, known for the trials of famous defendants such as the Kray brothers and Ian Huntley.

Applications to enter the competition for 2009/10 will open in early May, please visit the Bar Mock Trial web page for more details.
