FREE teacher CPD event

Make an Impact! is an innovative event for history and citizenship teachers looking at how history can be used to stimulate modern day citizenship activities.

The free conference on 8 October will be launched by keynote speaker Sir Keith Ajegbo, author of the 'Diversity and Citizenship Curriculum Review', and will include a range of practical workshops.

It will include a look at the work of the British Library and Citizenship Foundation including the successful “Campaign! Make an Impact Project”, where students used the British Library collections to look at the 1807 abolition of slavery campaign, and then ran contemporary campaigns to change their own world.

The conference is free and includes lunch, but places are limited so please apply early.
