Citizenship Foundation to compete in British 10K London Run

On Sunday 1 July, staff and supporters of the Citizenship Foundation will be competing in the British 10K London Run in support of the charity.

We asked Ben Lawrence, a fund manager at Lloyds TSB, why he decided to take part on our behalf.

'The Citizenship Foundation gives young people the freedom and opportunity to make their own decisions and express themselves in a variety of ways,' said Ben.

'I have only been involved with the charity on a fundraising basis for a short period but have already seen the enthusiasm their work generates amongst the people they work with. It is generally believed and accepted that education forms the backbone of an enriched life but having feelings of self-confidence and a voice which is heard, at a young age, is just as important.'
