Youth Act starts in Brent and Hammersmith and Fulham

Round 7 of Youth Act™ London kicked off this week in Brent, where three groups are taking part in our award winning active poltical literacy training programme.

OK Club, Alperton School and Band Edutainment in Brent and Henry Compton School in Hammersmith and Fulham will choose their own issue to campaign on while developing the skills of problem solving, team building and cooperation, influencing decision makers, communication, fundraising and campaigning.

Youth Act supports groups of young people, working with adults, who want to achieve political or social change in their school, youth club or community. Youth Act starts in Hammersmith and Fulham on 10 May.

Keep an eye on this website for details of their campaigns as they progress.

™ This project is based on the internationally successful Youth Act!™ programme started in the U.S. by Street Law inc, which has campaigned to increase provision for homeless people, challenge discrimination and reduce gun crime.
