Rotherham gets first quality mark for youth services

Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council has become the first organisation to be awarded the National Youth Agency’s ‘Quality Mark for Services to Young People’.

This kite mark, commissioned by the Department for Education and Skills, aims to provide confidence that services for young people are fit for purpose.

According to the NYA, the Mark “tests the processes and structures, which are the building blocks of an organisation. By using the self-assessment framework, organisations will be able to check monitoring and reviewing procedures and how management information is used to improve the quality and outcomes of an organisation”.
