Free Speech seminar: 16 March

The Citizenship Foundation, PEN and the Guardian are inviting teachers of English, Media Studies and Citizenship to a FREE conference on Friday 16 March titled "Free Speech and Citizenship".

Featuring Polly Toynbee, the event is aimed at all secondary English and Media Studies teachers keen to engage with relevant and interesting areas of the Citizenship curriculum, and secondary Citizenship teachers interested in human rights teaching through the issue of free speech. Workshops will be led by Ted Huddleston from the Citizenship Foundation, Michael Callanan, English AST at Rickmansworth School, and Jonathan Heawood, Director, English PEN. The event will be held at the Guardian Newsroom, London.

Places are free, but limited, so please apply soon to avoid disappointment.
