Citizenship Foundation announce new Law Society Charity grant

The partnership between the Law Society Charity and the Citizenship Foundation goes from strength to strength as the Law Society Charity award the Foundation with a one off donation if £75,000 to support the core of the Citizenship Foundation’s work.

“The Law Society Charity’s longstanding and generous support for our work is absolutely vital to our efforts in raising the profile and impact of public legal education, whether that be delivered through the citizenship curriculum in schools, resources such as the Young Citizen’s Passport or work in the informal, further and adult education sectors.” Tony Breslin, Chief Executive of the Citizenship Foundation.

“The Citizenship Foundation’s emphasis on law-related education and it’s aims to empower individuals to engage in the wider community through education about the law match perfectly with our policies and we applaud the achievements of the Citizenship Foundation throughout the long period of our association.” Nigel Dodds, Law Society Charity Trustees Chairman.

The Law Society Charity, which has supported the Foundation since it was established in 1989, continues to play a vital part in the continuation and development of the Citizenship Foundation’s efforts to raise understanding and awareness of the law, particularly among young people.
