Lords salute supporter of law in education
A well-attended reception was held at the Royal Courts of Justice yesterday to honour Lord Justice Hooper's 15-year contribution to the Citizenship Foundation.The launch of the Lord Hooper Fund will provide core funding to allow the Citizenship Foundation to continue its important work, not least, in law-related education. An annual Hooper lecture will be held at the first of which Cherie Booth will be a key speaker.
Lord Falconer, the Lord Chancellor, referred to the work of the Citizenship Foundation as "remarkable".
Lord Woolf and Lord Phillips of Sudbury (founder of the Citizenship Foundation) also both gave personal thanks to Lord Hooper during the evening.
