Online young people scrutinize government initiative
The Hansard Society's current 'Heads Up' debate encourages young people to feed back to the government on pupil participation and community cohesion. In the debate pupils will comment on the Working Together guidance from the DfES, and give their views on pupil involvement in schools.
Stephen Twigg MP, Minister for Schools, endorsed the debate with a message to the participants.
"It is important that we hear your views and opinions, as we make decisions that impact on children and young people every day. We want to ensure that all children and young people can play their full role in democratic processes", he said.
The debate takes place on the Hansard Society’s HeadsUp website (www.headsup.org.uk) until 10 December 2004.
