79,000 Northern Ireland students get free guide to the law

A unique, new guide to the law for young people in Northern Ireland was launched yesterday at Stormont.

Published by Hodder Murray and produced by educational charity, the Citizenship Foundation, the Young Citizenís Passport Northern Ireland will be sent free to all pupils in years 11, 12, 13 and 14, thanks to generous support from the Department of Education.

YCP Northern Ireland provides accessible, no-nonsense information on all aspects of the law that affect young people.

It also fulfils key parts of Learning For Life and Work, now a mandatory part of the Key Stage 4 curriculum.

As well as being a useful guide for school leavers and a valuable resource for teachers, YCP Northern Ireland is also suitable for mentors, youth-workers, personal advisers, community groups and youth clubs.

This brand new edition is based on the best-selling original introduction to the law in England and Wales, which has sold over 800,000 copies.
