Aged 14-18? Think you could run the Economy? Now's your chance to prove it!
Our Chance to be Chancellor competition is now open! Prove that you've got what it takes to manage the country's finances and you could be the face of the Youth Budget 2012.
If you are aged between 14 and 18, you have until 20 February to put yourself in the shoes of the Chancellor of the Exchequer and create your own Budget.
How would you spend taxes? How would you choose what decisions to make? What issues are important to you?
Once you've done that you can go a step further. You can submit your Budget to our competition for a chance to win an iPad and front this year's Youth Budget!
Important economic decisions made today will effect you in the future, even if you are too young to vote on them now.
Therefore everyone who takes part in Chance to be Chancellor will have their ideas published in the Youth Budget 2012, giving you a unique voice on those important decisions.
The Youth Budget will be launched at HM Treasury in March.
Stay tuned to the Chance to be Chancellor website for more about the programme, including free educational resources for teachers.
