Susan was appointed to the Board in February 2006.
She has a Masters in Law – specialising in International Human Rights - from the School of Oriental and African Studies. Professionally, Susan worked in journalism and then in communications for NGO’s such as Refugee Council, Business in the Environment, Sarajevo Charter and Real World, and in government at central, local and regional level.
Susan was CEO of the National Benevolent Fund for the Aged, before her current role as Chief Executive of Southwark Habitat for Humanity.
She is also Vice Chair of St Marks Family Centre and on the Fifth Estate Committee of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations. She has been an election monitor in Kosovo, Ukraine and Cambodia and is an experienced trainer.
