Year Dot resources for citizenship in schools
Channel 4 Education and the Citizenship Foundation are proud to introduce 'Year Dot', which showcases fifteen young people who are all involved in local community projects and schemes. They are each a great example of the values we promote.
These stories can make useful starting points for bringing the Citizenship curriculum into relevant focus. Use them in your classrooms or to inspire young people you know.

More about Year Dot
The Year Dot documentary followed the paths of 15 young people over one year, as they pursue their goals across a range of subjects. Amongst them are an aspiring businessman, poet, politician, dancer, footballer, and journalist; their stories document the journey taken in transforming a school time passion into a full-blown career.
The 'yeardotters' were all heavily involved with their local communities, giving talks to students, running community projects, raising awareness for gay rights, involving themselves in local youth politics, even starting on the track towards becoming an MP with the aim of representing and supporting the local community.
