Part of me wants to say that it is great that people have woken up to the real challenges to our rights but another part of me recognises the fact that without using the Human Rights Act as a framework, we haven't come to a 'proper' understanding of civil liberties. For the purists like me that matters I guess! Like you, I am not entirely sure what to make of the new coalition of right, left and everything in-between on civil liberties.
